Good Counsel Alum Frankie Weaver Throws for 428 Yards and Six Touchdowns in Monmouth’s 63-19 Win

Former Our Lady of Good Counsel quarterback Frankie Weaver delivered a breakout performance on Saturday, throwing for career highs of 428 yards and six touchdowns as Monmouth rolled past North Carolina A&T 63-19. The 6’5, 215-pound redshirt freshman from New Market, Maryland put together one of the most impressive quarterback performances in the program’s recent history.

Weaver, a 2023 Good Counsel graduate, is in his second year at Monmouth after redshirting last season. He did not see game action in 2024 but was recognized as a valuable member of the scout team offense. He has thrown 11 touchdowns and just three interceptions on the season, helping lead the Hawks to a 9-2 record.

Before Monmouth, Weaver starred at Good Counsel under head coach Andy Stefanelli. He was a three-time all-conference selection, earning First Team honors as both a junior and senior and Second Team as a sophomore. He threw for more than 60 touchdowns and over 4,000 yards in high school, helping lead the Falcons to 25 wins over three seasons. His senior year ended with a 10-1 record and both a conference and state championship.

Weaver also excelled academically at Good Counsel. He was a National Honor Society member, earned the Great American Rivalry Highest GPA on Team award, and was recognized as an Academic All-American.
