22-Year-Old Killed After Argument Leads to Shooting; Suspect Arrested

Montgomery County Police say a 22-year-old man died after he was found in the street with a gunshot wound on Friday afternoon, following an argument and physical fight with a 20-year-old suspect who then fled the scene.

According to MCPD, “At approximately 2:07 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025, Montgomery County 3rd District officers and Fire Rescue personnel were dispatched to the area for a report of a person shot. First responders located a 22-year-old male lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Preliminary information available indicates that the victim and the male suspect were arguing and began fighting. During the altercation, the suspect shot the victim and then drove away.
The suspect, a 20-year-old male, was arrested in Prince George’s County shortly after 6 p.m. This is an active and ongoing investigation. The Major Crimes Division, Homicide Section, is investigating this fatal shooting.

A news release will be distributed with more information, including the name of the suspect and the decedent, following proper notification of next of kin.”
