Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a house fire in the 500 block of Mannakee Street in Rockville around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. Neighbors have started an GoFundMe fundraiser to support the family.
According to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, crews arrived to find heavy fire throughout the two and a half story single family home. All occupants were able to evacuate safely, and no injuries were reported. Roughly 60 firefighters carried out defensive and interior operations to bring the blaze under control.
