Ding Café on Rockville Pike is holding a “grand opening” style celebration to mark one year under new ownership, offering two weekends of promotions in December 2025 that include free drinks, buy one get one deals, and additional discounts.
The event aims to showcase the café’s signature Vietnamese French coffee and bubble tea while introducing new drink categories and thanking the community for its support during its first year of renewed operation.
According to Ding Tea, “On December 6, 2025, Ding Cafe will host a two-day anniversary party at its Rockville location to thank the community for a successful first year in business. The celebration will center around a limited giveaway of 100 free drinks on the Saturdays of 12/06 and 12/13, and 100 BOGO drinks on the Sundays of 12/07 and 12/14, plus 20% off all weekends. The promotions are offered to both loyal regulars and first-time visitors.
Ding Café, located in the Ritchie Center/Plaza, is best known for its Vietnamese-French coffee and Taiwanese buble tea drinks. The current Ding Café concept encourages customers to linger and connect, in a comfortable space where people can relax, socialize, or get work done, not just buy a tea or coffee and leave. According to Ding Café’s press release, the store is also completing its first Café-truck to bring its flavorful drinks directly to the Montgomery neighborhoods for special events and gatherings.
The weekend event will focus on three new product categories: Vietnemese “PHIN” Drip Coffee, Ceremonial Matcha Series, and Blended Smoothies and Fruit Yogurt drinks. Some feature products are Saigon Cloudy coffee, Vietnamese Egg coffee, Strawberry Matcha Latte, Oreo Brulee Matcha Blend, Strawberry Bannana Smoothie, Purple Grape Snowy Slushy, Tropical Fruit Yogurt Blend. After the initial giveaway, guests can continue to save with 20% off deals on all drinks, encouraging friends and families to try multiple flavors together throughout the day.
Staff plan to create a lively, festive atmosphere inside the cafe, highlighting the role neighborhood support has played in the shop’s first year. The anniversary event aims to position Ding Cafe as a go-to gathering spot in Rockville, offering value-driven promotions that invite local residents to celebrate and help kick off the cafe’s second year in operation.”
In preparation for the event, Ding Tea will be closed December 1-5. The store is open daily from 9am-9pm.
