Stained Glass Pub Mourns the Loss of Beloved Team Member Sherri Fisher

The Stained Glass Pub community is grieving the loss of longtime team member Sherri Fisher, who passed away on December 3, 2025, surrounded by her family. The restaurant announced her passing in an emotional message, calling Sherri “truly irreplaceable” and “more than a team member — she was family.”

“Kind, reliable, and full of love for her friends, family, and this community,” the Pub wrote. “She will be deeply missed. Please keep her family in your thoughts during this difficult time.”

According to her obituary, Sherri Lee Fisher, 62, of Ferndale, leaves behind a remarkable legacy of warmth, generosity, and joy. Born in 1963, she was known for her boundless energy and the sunshine she brought wherever she went. For many years, she worked at The Stained Glass Pub, where she connected with customers not just as their bartender or server, but as a friend. Her coworkers became a second family, and her familiar smile and easy laugh were part of what made the restaurant feel like home to so many.

Beyond the Pub, Sherri made a name for herself across local gyms as an aerobics and step instructor whose enthusiasm lifted entire rooms. She raised her four children while teaching classes, often bringing them to the gym daycare as she inspired others through movement and positivity. Staying active remained part of her identity throughout her life, running, biking, walking, and soaking up as much sunshine as she could.

Sherri loved the beach deeply and was happiest with sand beneath her feet. In the early 1980s, she even won “Best Body on the Beach” in Ocean City and went on to participate in numerous fitness competitions. She embraced simple pleasures with heartfelt appreciation: Maryland crabs, a glass of wine or beer after a long day, country music, the sauna, and the satisfaction of feeding the squirrels and birds that visited her yard. She adored her tomato garden, especially when tending it with her grandchildren.

Her personality was unmistakable, pink lipstick, pink cowgirl boots, a love for Dolly Parton and Marilyn Monroe, and an infectious spirit that filled every room she entered. But above all, Sherri cherished motherhood. She often said raising her children was the greatest joy of her life. Holidays were magical in her home, especially Christmas, where she devoted herself to creating memories filled with warmth and wonder.

Sherri is survived by her children, Rachel Scalio, Roxanne Fisher, Renee Leone, and Charles Fisher, and her grandchildren Nevaeh, Giana, Scarlett, Brooks, Jasper, and Rhodes. She is also survived by her sister Sheila and her brothers Vince, Dave, and Doug. Her family describes her as “an inspiration, an icon, a legend, a saint, the salt of the earth, the most beautiful woman inside and out.”

Sherri spent her final months battling a rare and aggressive cancer with astonishing courage and resilience. Even through the hardest moments, she never lost her positive spirit. Her family plans to hold a celebration of life at a later date and will share details when arrangements are finalized. They expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of support, saying they are comforted by how many lives Sherri touched.

The Stained Glass Pub, her second home for so many years, summed up what she meant to the community: Sherri wasn’t just part of the Pub, she was part of its heart. And that heart will be felt there forever.
