Just Salad Continuing DMV Expansion With Upcoming Friendship Heights Location

Just Salad is continuing its rapid expansion across the DMV with another new location planned just outside of Montgomery County, this time in Friendship Heights.

According to a report by Robert Dyer, Just Salad has signed on to open at the Residences at Mazza, located at 5300 Wisconsin Avenue NW, in the Friendship Heights area of Chevy Chase, Washington, D.C. The restaurant will be part of the redeveloped Mazza Gallerie site, joining tenants including Total Wine, Wonder Food Hall, Inspire Nails, and TJ Maxx.

The upcoming Friendship Heights location follows Just Salad’s recent push into the District. The fast-casual chain opened its first DC restaurant in Dupont Circle in early October, and PoPville has also reported “coming soon” signage for another location at 12th and F Street NW.

Founded in 2006, Just Salad has grown to more than 100 locations across seven states. The brand focuses on healthy, affordable, and climate-conscious meals, offering a menu that includes fresh salads, grain bowls, wraps, soups, and smoothies. The company is particularly known for its reusable bowl program, the largest of its kind in the restaurant industry, with the majority of its packaging designed to be reusable, recyclable, or compostable.

Just Salad emphasizes fresh-prepped produce, house-made dressings, and high-quality proteins, including a wide range of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. The company has also partnered with organizations and high-profile collaborators over the years, including Sesame Workshop for a kids menu, Michelin-starred chef Amanda Cohen and chef Marc Forgione for specialty recipes, and various digital and brand collaborations.
