Terra Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse has delayed the opening of its Rockville location, now set to open on Sunday, December 28, after previously announcing an opening date of December 19.
The Brazilian steakhouse will be located at 1651 Chapman Ave in Rockville’s Twinbrook Quarter development and will mark Terra Gaucha’s first Maryland location and its debut in the DC region. Known for its traditional Southern Brazilian churrasco, Terra Gaucha features gaucho chefs who roast and carve wood-fired cuts such as picanha and ribeye tableside in a rodízio-style dining experience, along with a Gourmet Hot & Cold Table offering salads, cheeses, charcuterie, Brazilian sides, and desserts including its signature Papaya Cream.
Founded in Florida in 2015, the Brazilian-owned brand emphasizes quality, hospitality, and authenticity. “We are excited to introduce Terra Gaucha’s authentic flavors to Rockville,” said General Manager Stephanie Rizzon, noting the city’s diverse and engaged dining community as a key reason for choosing the location.
