Longtime Kentlands Favorite Caspian House of Kabob Closes

Caspian House of Kabob, located at 72 Market St. in Gaithersburg’s Kentlands neighborhood, has permanently closed.

The longtime Kentlands restaurant confirmed the closure via phone call and is now listed as permanently closed on Google with its website no longer operational. In addition, the storefront has been listed as available for lease by Saul Centers, confirming that a replacement has not yet signed on.

Caspian House of Kabob was known for serving Persian and Middle Eastern cuisine, with a menu centered around traditional kabobs, rice dishes, stews, and classic sides that made it a favorite for many residents and regulars in the Kentlands community over the years.

It is also worth noting that Caspian Kabob & Grill in Germantown is a separate business and has no formal relation to the Kentlands restaurant. The Germantown location remains open and continues to operate under different ownership.

No announcement regarding the closure has been posted by the Kentlands restaurant, and it is unclear when the space may be re-leased or what could replace it.
