Cardi B Makes Surprise Visit to Maryland Mall on Monday

Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B made a surprise stop at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda this afternoon, drawing plenty of attention from shoppers and employees. We were sent a photo of Cardi B during her visit, where she posed with Nordstrom employee Lauren Luber Pashkoff.

The visit comes a day after Cardi B was in Baltimore for Sunday Night Football, where she watched her boyfriend, Montgomery County native Stefon Diggs, take the field with the New England Patriots against the Baltimore Ravens. During the NBC broadcast, Diggs’ local roots were highlighted, including his time at the University of Maryland, his hometown of Gaithersburg, and his high school years at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Olney.

Cardi B, born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, is a Bronx-based rapper who rose to fame in the late 2010s and has since become one of the most recognizable names in music and pop culture. She broke out with her chart-topping hit “Bodak Yellow” and went on to win a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album with Invasion of Privacy. Known for her outspoken personality, viral moments, and crossover appeal, Cardi B has remained a dominant presence in music, fashion, and entertainment.

Earlier this year, Cardi B announced her first tour in six years, the Little Miss Drama Tour. The tour will bring her to Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. on April 8, giving local fans another chance to see her live, this time on stage rather than at the mall.
