Signage has been removed for YAAR Spice at the Traville Village shopping center, and leasing documents show the space is available, confirming the restaurant has permanently closed.
YAAR Spice, located at 9736 Traville Gateway Drive, stopped operating in October. At the time, a sign on the door stated the restaurant was “closed for maintenance.” While Google continues to list the restaurant as temporarily closed, a representative from the YAAR Spice location in Columbia has confirmed that the Traville Village restaurant has closed permanently.
YAAR Spice opened at the Traville Village shopping center in the spring of 2024 after taking over the former Klay Healthy Indian Eats space. Klay closed in February 2024 following nearly three years at the location, and YAAR Spice moved in shortly afterward under new ownership and management, offering Indian cuisine for lunch and dinner with both à la carte options and a buffet.
The space has seen multiple Indian restaurant concepts over the years. Prior to Klay, it was home to Aladdin Indian Kitchen and previously The Bukhara, which operated there as recently as 2019.
