Paris Baguette is continuing its Montgomery County expansion with plans to open a new location in Silver Spring in 2026.
According to reporting by Biz Journals, the popular bakery café will open in the Guardian building, a former six-story office building that has been redeveloped into a 12-story apartment complex. Paris Baguette will occupy 3,489SF of ground-floor retail space.
The restaurant is slated to open in late summer or early fall of 2026 with plans calling for indoor seating for approximately 40 to 50 guests, along with outdoor patio seating for an additional 15 to 20 people.
The Silver Spring location will mark Paris Baguette’s fourth restaurant in Montgomery County. The chain opened its first county location in Rockville in the summer of 2023. That was followed by a Germantown location in November 2024 and a Bethesda location in August 2025.
Known for its French and Korean-inspired pastries, cakes, breads, and café menu, Paris Baguette has been steadily growing its footprint across the country. Last year Paris Baguette’s Chief Executive Officer Darren Tipton stated, “We set an aggressive goal to open 1,000 locations in the U.S. by 2030 and we’re on track to exceed this plan with strategic direction on growth, quality products, customer experience, and innovation.”
