This week marks the final days for Maryland’s only Ted’s Montana Grill, as the longtime Downtown Crown restaurant prepares to permanently close its doors.
Earlier this month, Ted’s Montana Grill announced it would close its Gaithersburg location due to the expiration of its lease, bringing an end to more than a decade of service in Montgomery County. This week will be the restaurant’s last opportunity to welcome guests before its final day of business on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
In its announcement, the restaurant emphasized that the closure is not a reflection of its staff or community support. Ted’s expressed gratitude to its team members and to the Gaithersburg community for years of loyalty and patronage, noting the relationships built over time.
“Our closure in no way reflects the dedication and heart of our incredible team or the loyalty of the guests who welcomed us into their lives over the years,” the restaurant shared. “We are deeply grateful to our guests, the entire Gaithersburg community, and our passionate team members who brought Ted’s culture of hospitality to life.”
The Downtown Crown location has been the only Ted’s Montana Grill in Maryland, making the closure the end of the brand’s presence in the state. The restaurant has invited the community to stop by one last time to share a meal or a toast during its final week of service.
