Two-Vehicle Collision Leaves One Car Overturned in Germantown

A two-vehicle collision Monday afternoon in Germantown left one vehicle overturned and caused lane closures near a busy intersection.

According to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, crews were dispatched around 2:43 p.m. to the area of Aircraft Drive and Route 118 (Germantown Road) for a crash involving two vehicles. One of the vehicles flipped over as a result of the collision.

In an update, Piringer confirmed that the crash involved an overturned vehicle with entrapment. MCFRS Emergency Medical and Integrated Healthcare Services were evaluating two injured individuals at the scene.

Several lanes were blocked while first responders worked to assist the injured and secure the area. Drivers were advised to expect delays and use alternate routes if possible. No additional details on the cause of the crash or the extent of injuries had been released as of the latest update.
