Meeting Set to Discuss Bike Lanes in North Bethesda

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold an in-person community meeting at 7 pm on Tuesday, February 10, at Luxmanor Elementary School in North Bethesda to discuss the proposed Executive Boulevard-Grand Park Avenue bike lanes project.

The meeting will give residents an opportunity to review the project, ask questions, and provide feedback on plans to build separated bike lanes along Executive Boulevard from Nicholson Lane to Marinelli Road and along Grand Park Avenue from Marinelli Road to Old Georgetown Road.

The proposal includes one-way, separated bike lanes on each side of the roadway, divided from traffic by a raised concrete median while maintaining one travel lane in each direction and left-turn lanes throughout the corridor. MCDOT will present the conceptual design and traffic study, with public input expected to help shape next steps, including a Planning Board hearing anticipated in late Spring 2026 and future scheduling based on feedback and funding availability.
