Carmen’s Italian Ice is bringing back its annual “Pay the Price of the Weather” promotion on Thursday, January 22, and Friday, January 23, at its Rockville and Kensington locations.
Under the promotion, the price of a small Italian ice matches the outdoor temperature for the day, with customers able to substitute gelati for an additional dollar. Only cash or Carmen’s gift cards are accepted for the promotion. Forecasts call for a high of 53 degrees on Thursday and 44 degrees on Friday.
Owner Jason Mandler said the promotion is less about profits and more about giving loyal customers something fun during the off-season, when frozen treats are not usually top of mind.
The deal is available at the Rockville shop at 1115 Nelson Street and the Kensington shop at 10309 Kensington Parkway.
