The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPS) are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect connected to a reported sexual assault in Silver Spring.
According to police, the incident occurred on Friday, December 13, 2026, at approximately 8:18 pm, at a Burger King located in the 15420 block of New Hampshire Avenue. Investigators say the suspect entered the restaurant, sexually assaulted a staff member inside the restroom, and then left the location.
Police describe the suspect as a possible Indian or Black male in his early 20s. Surveillance images released by detectives show the individual wearing a red knit hat, a dark coat layered over a hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and light-colored shoes.
The case is being investigated by detectives assigned to the department’s 4th District Patrol Investigative Unit.
