As the area prepares for a big winter storm, Montgomery Parks is sharing its list of best sledding hills in parks for kids and adults to enjoy. Approved locations for sledding in Montgomery Parks include:
- Avenel Local Park
- Ayrlawn Local Park
- Damascus Recreational Park (hillside near tennis court parking lot on Kings Valley Road)
- Hillmead Neighborhood Park
- Long Branch-Wayne Local Park (off University Blvd.)
- Norwood Local Park
- Pilgrim Hills Local Park
- South Germantown Recreational Park (hill behind Field F and hillside between Mooseum and TennisPlex)
- Stratton Local Park
- Tilden Woods Local Park
- Woodacres Local Park
“It’s time to get the sleds out of storage and break out the cold-weather gear! We want everyone to be safe out there while they’re having fun, so please use caution when you’re sledding because the snow can hide rocks and other hazards,” said Miti Figueredo, director of Montgomery Parks.
