Due to continued below-freezing temperatures and poor road conditions, MCDOT Ride On will operate on an S Service Schedule on Monday, January 26.
The US 29 Flash BRT Orange route will run using 40-foot Ride On buses instead of the standard 60-foot articulated Flash buses, as the smaller vehicles provide better traction in snowy conditions. Riders should expect possible delays and detours throughout the day.
MCDOT will monitor weather and road conditions on an ongoing basis and may reduce or end bus service early if conditions become unsafe. Officials emphasized that rider and staff safety is the top priority, noting that worsening ice could increase the risk of buses and passengers becoming stranded.
