Sunset on Midsummer to Open Boutique at Shops at Wildwood in Spring 2026

A new locally owned boutique is headed to Bethesda, with Sunset on Midsummer set to open at the Shops at Wildwood in spring 2026. The shop plans to open on April 18th.

The small business will offer elevated apparel, accessories, and gifts, with a focus on on-site embroidery and heat-press personalization. Designed to appeal to tweens, teens, and young adults, the concept blends trend-forward style with customization that is meant to be both expressive and parent approved.

Sunset on Midsummer will occupy a 1,759SF  space next to Fish Taco and Irresistibles, adding to Wildwood’s mix of local businesses and national brands. The shop is expected to complement the center’s reputation for experiential retail, where shoppers can interact with products and personalize their purchases.

Owner Lindsey Wolf, a Montgomery County native and mother of four daughters between the ages of 9 and 14, said the idea grew directly from her experience as a parent. She wanted to create a retail space that speaks to younger shoppers while remaining approachable for families. The location also carries personal significance, as Wolf’s father grew up near Wildwood.

Wolf said Wildwood felt like a natural fit for the brand, citing its strong community feel and its ability to attract the store’s core audience. Representatives from Federal Realty echoed that sentiment, noting that small, locally owned businesses have long played a central role in shaping Wildwood’s identity.

With its emphasis on customization and connection, Sunset on Midsummer is expected to add a new dimension to the shopping experience at one of Bethesda’s most established retail destinations when it opens next year.
