A Montgomery County resident won $50,000 in Monday night’s Powerball drawing after purchasing a ticket at the Giant located at 8500 Connecticut Avenue in Chevy Chase, according to MD Lottery:
The winning numbers for the February 9 drawing were 6, 19, 22, 28, and 48, with a Powerball number of 24. The third-tier ticket matched four of the first five numbers along with the Powerball to claim the $50,000 prize.
Officials said Tuesday night’s Powerball jackpot is estimated at $126 million for the annuity option, with a cash value of approximately $57.8 million. Meanwhile, Mega Millions is offering an estimated annuity jackpot of $366 million, with a cash option of $165.6 million.
