Zao Stamina Ramen Rebrands as Ramen Menri

Zao Stamina Ramen in Bethesda has officially rebranded as Ramen Menri, marking a new chapter for the restaurant as of February 1.

Originally opened on May 26, 2021, Zao Stamina Ramen is located at 7345 Wisconsin Avenue, Unit B, in the former home of Yuzu Japanese Dining. Since opening, the restaurant has built a following for its ramen offerings, and the transition to Ramen Menri reflects a refined culinary focus rather than a departure from its roots.

According to the Ramen Menri website, the rebrand centers on a philosophy that treats ramen as a complete and thoughtfully composed meal. The team describes its approach as one grounded in deep respect for dashi, the foundational element of Japanese cuisine. By layering flavor through broth, aroma, texture, and finish, the goal is to create ramen that develops gradually from the first sip to the final bite.

Ramen Menri emphasizes that all of its dishes are completely additive-free and made in house, with close attention paid to ingredients, seasonality, and the local environment. The intention is to serve ramen that feels balanced and satisfying without being overwhelming, offering a meal that is nourishing, gentle on the body, and quietly memorable.
