J.Cole is Driving Around the Maryland Suburbs Picking Up Fans to Listen to His Album With Him

Rapper J. Cole is in Montgomery County and offering local fans a once in a lifetime listening experience. In a post shared on Wednesday night, J. Cole said he is currently in Silver Spring and invited fans in the area to ride with him in his Civic to listen to his latest (and possibly last) album, The Fall-Off.

“Aight im currently in Silver Springs (sic), MD. If there’s anybody in the area that wants to ride with me in the Civic while we listen to the album let me know,” he wrote. “I got new speakers for this. Please be in the vacinity of silver springs, ima come pick you up with ib, then we can go scoop 1 more person, then we press play.”

He added that the first two people he picks up will listen to disc 29, while the next two will hear disc 39. He also instructed fans not to send their address until he replies and follows them back. As of 9:15pm, he already picked up four fans to join him.

The Grammy Award winning artist previously announced that The Fall-Off will be his final album. While he has said he does not plan to stop making music entirely, he has shared that he intends to shift his focus toward helping develop other artists rather than continuing to release full length projects of his own.

Born in Germany and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Jermaine Lamarr Cole has become one of the most respected voices in modern hip hop. Since becoming the first artist signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation in 2009, he has balanced commercial success with a reputation for authenticity and lyrical depth.

Known for his platinum albums without guest features and for building the Dreamville label into a powerhouse collective, Cole has spent more than a decade blending introspective storytelling with commentary on culture and social issues.
