A Germantown man has been charged in connection with the assault of a 10-year-old child at a Dave and Buster’s location in Silver Spring, and investigators believe additional victims may exist.
According to the Montgomery County Department of Police, the incident occurred on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at approximately 10 pm at the arcade in the 8600 block of Colesville Road. Detectives said the child was approached by an adult male while inside the establishment.
Police identified the suspect as 30-year-old Christopher Michael Simpson of Germantown. Investigators allege that Simpson removed the child’s socks and shoes and smelled the child’s feet before leaving the scene.
Through investigative efforts, detectives were able to identify Simpson as the suspect and later obtained an arrest warrant. He has been charged with second-degree assault and sexual assault related offenses.
