Strathmore has announced the cancellation of Mandy Patinkin in Concert: Jukebox With Adam Ben-David on Piano, which had been scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 8pm at The Music Center in North Bethesda.
According to Strathmore, the cancellation is due to a scheduling conflict following Patinkin’s casting as the Norse god Odin in the upcoming Prime Video series God of War, an adaptation of the popular video game God of War: Ragnarök. Production for the series is set to begin in early spring, overlapping with the planned concert date.
Patinkin is widely regarded as one of the most accomplished performers of his generation, with a career spanning Broadway, film, television, and concert stages. He earned a Tony Award for his role in Evita and is especially celebrated for his interpretations of Stephen Sondheim’s work. Film audiences know him best as Inigo Montoya in The Princess Bride, while television viewers recognize him from roles including Jason Gideon on Criminal Minds and Saul Berenson on Homeland. Across genres, Patinkin has built a reputation for emotionally direct performances that connect deeply with audiences.
The April concert was set to feature a mix of storytelling and music, with Patinkin performing alongside longtime collaborator Adam Ben-David. No rescheduled date has been announced.
Strathmore noted that patrons and community members are encouraged to explore the many other concerts and exhibitions taking place this season at both the Music Center and the Mansion. Additional information regarding ticketing and next steps for those who had planned to attend the concert is expected to be shared directly with ticket holders.
