Ace Hardware officially opened its new Rockville location this morning, Thursday, February 19, marking the latest addition to the Cool Hardware Company’s growing regional footprint.
The store is located at 835 Rockville Pike in Wintergreen Plaza, roughly one mile from the Rockville Metro station. The approximately 11,000SF store sits alongside Food Lion and several popular dining spots within the shopping center.
The Rockville Ace Hardware is operated by the Cool Hardware Company and offers the brand’s signature “helpful place” experience, with knowledgeable staff providing guidance across departments including paint, lawn and garden, and grilling. The store carries well known brands such as Craftsman, Weber, Traeger, and Benjamin Moore, along with live goods and a selection of locally made products.
This location joins the Cool Hardware Company’s expanding network of employee owned Ace Hardware stores across the DC, Baltimore, and Northern Virginia region. Founded in 2003, the company transitioned to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan in 2021, allowing team members to earn ownership shares as the business grows.
