Bob’s Bethesda is moving closer to opening at 7776 Norfolk Ave., the former home of Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza. The restaurant will be owned and operated by the original owner of Bob’s Shanghai 66 in Rockville but will not be affiliated with the current Bob’s Shanghai 66 location operating there today.
The restaurant is scheduled to appear before Montgomery County ABS on Thursday, March 5th at 10am for a hearing on a new Class B Beer, Wine, and Liquor License. Bob’s Bethesda is currently targeting a spring 2026 opening.
Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza closed the Bethesda location in September 2024 after nearly five years in the space, leaving a prominent ground-floor vacancy in the Windsor Bethesda building.
