Possible Winter Weather Monday for Maryland and Northern Virginia as Forecast Models Show Measurable Snow

The National Weather Service has placed most of Maryland and Northern Virginia in a “limited threat risk” category for potential winter weather on Monday.

The system remains five days out, and anyone familiar with forecasting in this region knows how frequently details can change as we get closer. That said, both the GFS and European models are currently showing measurable snow in their most recent runs.

For now, this is simply something to monitor. If the threat materializes, it could lead to travel disruptions on Monday, especially as temperatures drop following what appears to be a relatively warm weekend. With the potential still several days away, timing and impacts remain uncertain.
