Viral cheesesteak concept 5th & Steaks is continuing its rapid expansion in Maryland, with the brand set to open its third food truck location on March 5 in College Park.
According to a post shared on social media, the new truck will be located at 9035 Baltimore Avenue in College Park and will operate Wednesday through Sunday from 11am to 8pm, or until sellout. To celebrate the opening, the first 100 customers in line will receive a free cheesesteak.
The new College Park truck marks the brand’s third Maryland location and follows the recent opening of its second truck in Glen Burnie earlier this year. The original 5th & Steaks operates in Catonsville, where it quickly developed a loyal following and frequently draws long lines.
5th & Steaks has built a strong online presence, with viral social media videos showcasing its oversized cheesesteaks and loaded toppings helping the business gain a dedicated fan base.
The business traces its roots to South Philadelphia, where the family behind the brand says they grew up surrounded by the city’s cheesesteak culture. In previous posts, the owners shared that their family operated several restaurants in Philadelphia, including one at the well-known 5th & South corridor, which inspired the name of the concept.
