Montgomery County Public Libraries will host the 10th annual MoComCon on March 20 and 21, bringing a free, family-friendly celebration of comics, storytelling, art, and creativity to Germantown.

The two-day event will take place at Germantown Library and the BlackRock Center for the Arts and will feature artist panels, workshops, contests, and opportunities to meet comic writers, illustrators, and content creators from across the region.

MoComCon 2026 begins Friday, March 20 from 6pm to 8pm at BlackRock Center for the Arts, located at 12901 Town Commons Drive in Germantown. Friday’s programming is geared toward teens ages 13 to 17 and adults.

Events continue Saturday, March 21 from 10am to 4pm at both venues. Germantown Library, at 19840 Century Blvd., will host programming for children and families including storytelling sessions, drawing stations, and interactive comic creation activities.

BlackRock Center for the Arts will host programming aimed at teens and adults, including the event’s popular cosplay contest.“MoComCon has grown into something really special for Montgomery County,” said County Executive Marc Elrich. “Our libraries have created a space where young people, families, artists, and lifelong fans can come together around storytelling, creativity, and imagination. This event gives aspiring writers and artists a place to share their work and connects teens and families with positive, inclusive, and welcoming creative outlets.”

The event will also feature special guest appearances, artist signings, and a dedicated area where local and emerging creators can showcase their work and connect with attendees.

MoComCon is presented by Montgomery County Public Libraries and supported by the Friends of the Library, BlackRock Center for the Arts, and community partners focused on expanding access to arts, literacy, and cultural experiences in the community.
