Chief Antonio DeVaul of the Takoma Park Police Department announced the arrest of Patience Sesay, 55, of no fixed address, on trespassing charges.
On March 10 at approximately 2:14am, Takoma Park Police responded to the 8600 block of Flower Avenue for a report of trespassing at a residence. Officers were called after an unknown individual allegedly refused to leave during a small gathering at the home.
According to police, the homeowner told officers the suspect, later identified as Sesay, was not known to him and had refused to leave when asked. Officers entered the residence and observed Sesay sitting on a couch in the living room.
Police asked the homeowner to again request that Sesay leave the residence. When she refused, officers issued multiple commands for her to leave, which were ignored. Authorities say Sesay then began yelling at officers and continued to refuse to comply.
Officers placed Sesay under arrest. During the arrest, police say she resisted, resulting in an officer sustaining an injury. Sesay was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit and charged accordingly.
