Students from Olney Elementary School and Candlewood Elementary School teamed up with TeamSpirit Cheer to perform at the Wizards vs. Oklahoma City Thunder game on March 21, bringing high energy to one of the largest crowds in Washington DC.
The group embraced a disco theme for their performance, lighting up the arena with a routine that showcased both skill and enthusiasm in front of thousands of fans.
According to its website, TeamSpirit Cheer is a program designed for children in grades K-5, focused on building confidence, developing proper technique, and helping participants reach their full potential in a fun and supportive environment. The program does not hold tryouts or make cuts, instead organizing camps that allow all participants to grow and improve together.
While there is no requirement to compete, cheerleaders are given opportunities like this to perform and showcase their talents on big stages.
