A Maryland State Police trooper was struck in a hit-and-run collision Sunday night on southbound I-270 between Montgomery Village Avenue and I-370.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the trooper was inside their vehicle when it was hit.
The incident occurred just after the Montgomery Village Avenue area, prompting a response and investigation into the fleeing driver. The extent of injuries has not yet been confirmed, and the suspect remains outstanding as the investigation continues.
