The Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center (MCASAC) will host a dog adoption special on Saturday, March 28, offering $16 adoption fees.
The shelter, which is currently at capacity, is encouraging residents to consider adopting as many dogs are in need of homes. The event will take place from 11 am to 5 pm at the facility located at 7315 Muncaster Mill Road in Derwood, with adopters advised to arrive at least one hour before closing.
Adoptable animals can be viewed online or in person during regular operating hours. Adoptions are conducted on a first-come, first-served basis and are completed the same day. Residents planning to adopt should come prepared to take an animal home by bringing appropriate supplies, such as a leash and collar for dogs or a carrier for cats and other small animals.
