Grandma’s Ice Cream and Waffles in Rockville has temporarily closed, though the owner says they are exploring the possibility of reopening with a new concept focused on “Grandma’s homemade cooking.”
The business is operated by the same owners as the “Grandma Kona’s” Kona Ice franchise in Gaithersburg and Germantown, which is currently celebrating its 14th year.
The menu previously featured a wide range of ice cream offerings, including cones, sundaes, banana splits, and waffle bowls, with both traditional and vegan options available. In addition to desserts, the food menu included items such as loaded baked potatoes, wraps, waffles, breakfast plates, mac and cheese, loaded fries, and other comfort-style dishes, including vegan alternatives.
