Me Land Gaithersburg, an indoor play center located at 831 Russell Avenue, will soon close its doors permanently, marking the end of its run in Montgomery County after just over three years in operation.
The business announced that its final day will be April 13, with the facility officially closing on April 14. In a message shared with customers, the team described the decision as a difficult one, reflecting on the relationships built with families who visited the space for birthdays, playtime, and community gatherings.
The Gaithersburg location first opened in September 2022, taking over the former OmniFun Indoor Play Center space through a partnership with the Frederick-based Me Land. The indoor playground quickly became a popular destination for young children, offering a climate-controlled environment for open play, parties, and events year-round.
In its farewell message, Me Land thanked the community for its support, noting the joy of watching children grow and celebrate milestones at the facility. While the Gaithersburg location is closing, the company confirmed that its Frederick location will remain open and continue serving families in the region.
The closure adds to a growing list of turnover in children’s entertainment and indoor activity spaces across the area, where rising costs and shifting demand have made it increasingly challenging for operators to sustain long-term operations.
