The Gaithersburg Police Department responded on Thursday, March 26, at approximately 8:34 pm to the Lakeforest Transit Center in the 9600 block of Lost Knife Road for a reported assault.
Upon arrival, officers located both individuals involved, who were known to each other, and determined that a verbal dispute had escalated into a physical altercation.
During the incident, the suspect used a bottle to strike the victim, causing a minor laceration. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation remains ongoing.
