Popular Miami-Based Italian Bakery Opens First Maryland Location

Rosetta Bakery has officially opened its first Maryland location, bringing its popular Italian pastries and coffee program to Bethesda and marking the brand’s expansion into the DC metro area.

Now open at 4901-A Fairmont Avenue, the new bakery introduces Bethesda to the flavors and traditions that have helped Rosetta build a strong following in South Florida. Known for its authentic Italian approach, the menu features fresh pastries, signature focaccia, rich espresso, and classic desserts inspired by recipes from Milan.

The opening also comes through a partnership with Best Buddies, adding a community-focused element to the new space as the team welcomes customers into its Bethesda debut.

The location occupies a prominent corner that previously housed several well-known concepts over the years, including Pitango, Tapa Bar, and Blackfinn. With its open-kitchen concept, guests can watch bakers at work while browsing a wide selection of pastries and baked goods displayed throughout the space.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7am to 8pm, and Saturday through Sunday from 8am to 8pm.
