The City of Rockville is set to host its 5th Annual Skate Jam on Saturday, April 18 at Rockville Skate Park, with a full day of free activities planned from 9am to 5pm.
The event will take place at Rockville Skate Park, located at 355 Martins Lane in Rockville, and will include yoga, skating competitions, food for purchase, a moon bounce, face painting, and other family-friendly activities throughout the day. Final competition scores will be uploaded to Boardr after the event.
The day begins with yoga from 9am to 10am, followed by skate competition check-in and practice from 10am to 11am. The beginners competition will run from 11am to 12:30pm, followed by the intermediate competition from 12:30pm to 3pm and the advance competition from 3pm to 4:30pm. Open skating and closing activities will begin at 4:30pm.
Competition registration will close at different times throughout the day, with beginners registration ending at 10:30am, intermediate registration ending at 12:30pm, and advance registration ending at 2:30pm. Organizers say attendees should check the weather hotline at 240-314-5026 for updates. A rain date is scheduled for Sunday, April 19.
