Police Identify Man Killed in Home Shooting, Car Found Abandoned

Montgomery County Police are investigating a fatal shooting and are asking for the public’s help in locating surveillance footage from the surrounding areas.

Officers responded around 5:55 am on Thursday, April 9 to the 12500 block of Carrington Hill Drive, where they found 32-year-old Christopher Gove inside his residence with apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Shortly after, officers were called to West Montgomery Avenue and Darnestown Road for a single-vehicle crash, where Gove’s unoccupied black Toyota Highlander was located. Police say no suspect is currently in custody and the investigation remains active. Detectives are urging residents in the Willow Ridge neighborhood and nearby areas to review surveillance or Ring camera footage from the early morning hours for any suspicious activity.
