Emergency crews responded to a serious crash Saturday night in Darnestown involving a rollover and entrapment.
Around 9pm, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) units were dispatched to the area of Seneca Road and Seneca Farm Lane for a collision involving two vehicles, including one that overturned.
According to officials, including Captain Franco Martinez, one of the vehicles struck a utility pole, leaving a driver trapped underneath. Crews worked to lift the vehicle in order to free the pinned individual.
At 10:33pm, MCFRS chief spokesperson Pete Piringer shared that responders had successfully extricated the patient, who was then transported by EMS for further care. No additional information about the extent of injuries has been released.
