Carnival Returns to Clarksburg Premium Outlets With Rides, Food, and Games

The Jolly Shows Carnival is now underway at Clarksburg Premium Outlets, bringing rides, food, and games to the area through April 26.

The traveling carnival opened on April 15 and runs daily, offering more than 30 attractions ranging from classic midway rides to skill games and a wide selection of fair food. Visitors can expect staples like corn dogs, chicken fingers, pizza, funnel cakes, cotton candy, popcorn, and ice cream, along with other traditional carnival favorites.

Operating hours vary by day, with the carnival open Monday through Friday from 5pm to 11pm, Saturdays from 1pm to 11pm, and Sundays from 3pm to 11pm.

Admission options include several wristband packages for unlimited rides. A weekday wristband is available for $29, while an any-day wristband costs $35. A bundle of four wristbands is priced at $100, offering a discounted option for families or groups. Individual ride tickets are also available, with 50 tickets priced at $55. An additional e-ticket convenience fee applies at checkout.

Jolly Shows, a long-running carnival company, is currently operated by founder Frank Joseph’s grandsons, Randy, Peter, and Paul. The company primarily serves Maryland and Northern Virginia, hosting events such as county fairs, regional festivals, fire department carnivals, and fundraisers supporting organizations like the Muscular Dystrophy Association and United Way.

The operators emphasize maintaining a clean, family-friendly environment while continuing to modernize the carnival experience. Their approach has helped them expand into locations that previously did not allow carnivals, while still holding onto the traditions that define the industry.
