Runners Set for Pike’s Peek 10K and Festival at Pike & Rose

Pike’s Peek 10K returns to North Bethesda on Sunday, April 26, bringing one of the area’s most popular running events back to Montgomery County with a fast course, family-friendly races, and a lively post-race festival.

The event, hosted by the Montgomery County Road Runners Club, is widely known for its USATF-certified 10K course, which has earned a reputation as a “PR course” thanks to its downhill-friendly layout. Runners will begin at the Shady Grove Metro Station and make their way to the finish line on Rose Avenue, just south of Montrose Road at Pike & Rose.

The race is set to begin promptly at 7:50am, with the full event running through 10am. In addition to the main 10K, Pike’s Peek offers options for younger participants, including a Kids Fun Run of approximately a quarter mile and a 50-meter Toddler Trot, both taking place near the finish area at Pike & Rose.

Beyond the races themselves, the event will feature a post-race festival with food, music, family activities, and exhibits, creating a community atmosphere that extends well beyond the finish line.

Pike’s Peek continues to stand out as one of the premier racing events in the region, attracting both competitive runners chasing personal records and families looking for a fun and active morning.
