Uber Teams Up with Maryland Diaper Bank to Provide Rides and Supplies for Families in Need

Montgomery County is among the areas that will benefit from a new partnership between Uber and the Maryland Diaper Bank aimed at improving access to essential supplies and healthcare for families with young children.

The initiative will provide ride credits to help new mothers attend post-partum and pediatric appointments, as well as support emergency deliveries of diapers and hygiene products to families who cannot reach distribution sites.

Launched during Black Maternal Health Week, the partnership is designed to address transportation barriers that often prevent families from accessing care. The Maryland Diaper Bank, which serves communities including Montgomery County, distributes tens of thousands of diapers daily and has provided more than 2.3 million diapers since 2018, with the new effort expected to expand its reach to families in need.
