Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded at approximately 2am on Thursday to the area of Dufief Mill Road and Frances Green Way in North Potomac for a reported fire involving a two-story detached garage or barn.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, upon arrival, crews encountered a well-involved outbuilding, with approximately 50 firefighters responding to the scene.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control and extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire has not been released. Damage is estimated to be $55K, including $30K structure and $25K contents.
