The Town of Ocean City in Maryland is pushing back on a viral social media claim suggesting a curfew has been put in place on the boardwalk.
In a post addressing the rumor, officials said the information is false and clarified that there is no curfew currently in effect.
“The Town of Ocean City is aware of a post circulating social media about a curfew on the Boardwalk. This information is false,” the town wrote. “There is NO curfew in place on the Boardwalk. Our Boardwalk remains open for residents and visitors to enjoy responsibly.”
Officials also encouraged the public to rely on official town communication channels for accurate and up-to-date information.
