Update: The adult female pedestrian who was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries has died as a result of those injuries.
Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) responded Thursday afternoon to a pedestrian collision in Rockville that left one person seriously injured.
At approximately 3:42 pm, 1st District officers were dispatched to the 600 block of North Horners Lane, where an adult female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. She was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. The driver remained on scene.
North Horners Lane is currently closed between Lincoln Avenue and Frederick Avenue as the investigation continues. Drivers are advised to expect delays and use alternate routes.
