Bobapop is expanding once again in Montgomery County, with a new location planned for Aspen Hill Shopping Center.
The popular bubble tea brand is set to take over the former Aspen Hill Cleaners space at 13721 Connecticut Avenue, next to Five Below. Construction is expected to begin within the next few weeks as the company continues to grow locally. The news of Bobapop’s expansion to Aspen Hill was first reported by Robert Dyer.
Bobapop already has a strong presence throughout the DMV, with locations in Alexandria, Baltimore, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Merrifield, and Rockville. Its Gaithersburg shop in the Kentlands neighborhood holds special significance as the company’s first U.S. location, opening in 2018 and helping introduce the brand to a wider audience.
The company’s identity is closely tied to its iconic French Bulldog logo, which honors the founder’s beloved pet. The brand was brought to life by two Maryland residents who were inspired by the global popularity of bubble tea and set out to create a high-quality, locally rooted version of the experience.
Bobapop emphasizes premium ingredients and careful preparation. Its teas are sourced from regions known for quality production, including Taiwan, Japan, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and India. The menu also features a wide variety of toppings, many made in-house, with options that accommodate different dietary preferences, including lactose-free, caffeine-free, and gluten-free choices.
