A man was killed early Friday morning following a collision involving a vehicle and a Ride On bus near the intersection of Midcounty Highway and Goshen Road, according to a summary of events provided by MCPD.
Police and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel responded to the scene at approximately 4:47am. Upon arrival, they located an adult male who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ride On bus remained at the scene and was not injured. Officials confirmed there were no passengers on the bus at the time of the collision.
Midcounty Highway is currently closed at Goshen Road, and Goshen Road is closed at Emory Grove Road as the investigation continues.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating the crash. Authorities say additional information, including the identity of the victim, will be released after next of kin have been notified.
