Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded Friday afternoon to a reported townhouse fire in the 10200 block of Cove Ledge Court off Watkins Mill Road in Montgomery Village.
Firefighters arrived to find fire showing from the exterior deck of a three-story back-to-back townhouse and quickly knocked down the bulk of the exterior fire while checking for extension into the structure.
According to MCFRS spokesperson Pete Piringer, the townhouse was unoccupied at the time of the fire. Neighboring residents were able to evacuate safely, and no injuries were reported. Firefighters quickly extinguished the exterior fire after arriving on scene.
