Montgomery County is inviting landscapers to attend a hands-on Landscaping with Batteries Training & Certification event on May 13 from 9 am to 1 pm in Derwood.
The training is designed for small to mid-size landscaping businesses interested in transitioning to battery-electric equipment, with a focus on maximizing the efficiency of battery-powered tools such as leaf blowers. Sessions will be offered in both English and Spanish.
Participants will receive an AGZA Service Pro Certificate training course, see live demonstrations from brands including Greenworks, Husqvarna, Milwaukee, and STIHL, and take part in hands-on activities and raffles. Registered businesses will also receive a $500 equipment coupon for electric blowers or batteries through Commercial Mower Depot. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Attendance may be limited to one person per business, and the event is open only to Montgomery County businesses. The event location will be shared with approved registrants.
